She is a classically trained sitarist and composer with extensive experience performing at weddings and special events across the UK. She also has a Masters in Music Technology from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
She specialises in creating enchanting, culturally rich musical moments that elevate the ambiance of Indian and Pakistani weddings.
She performs a versatile repertoire, including Indian Classical Ragas, Ghazals, Bollywood music, and Mughal-inspired melodies, which she tailors to suit the unique theme and tone of each event.
She also uses Tabla backing tracks to complement her sitar, ensuring a vibrant and immersive experience that mirrors a live ensemble.
This female Sitar player has evolved as a female Sitarist in many soundtracks including in the Netflix movie Wheelman, Expedia interactive Project ‘The World in Tune’ and various Rock, Jazz, EDM, Folk, North Indian, South Indian and Ambient music-based soundtracks.
She has completed her BA in Music at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka in 2016 obtaining the highest GPA of the faculty. She has also secured First Division passes in all the examinations leading to the Visharada title offered by the Bhathkande College of Music, Lucknow, India.
